China Internship

I had my internship in China's Silicon Valley - Shenzhen. The company I worked for was SZOIL - Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab.

Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab (SZOIL)is a space and platform for worldwide makers and engineers to cooperate. SZOIL was the first Fab Lab in Shenzhen authorized by MIT CBA as a research and development partner of Fab Lab 2.0.

Donkey Car

One of our projects was creating a Donkeycar. The documentation for it can be found online here.

Donkeycar is a project that upgrades the components of an normal RC car to allow for self-driving capabilities. It includes an addition of a camera which allows the vehicle to learn the track and teach it to drive around without crashing or crossing the track lines. A Raspberry Pi is used to control the vehicle through SSH or WiFi and allows for additional motor modules to be added.

White-Label

In this video my team and I describe the process of White-label products. It was more of a comical video than one describing all the processes. Nonetheless it gave a great insight into the markets inside Huaqiangbei.
